They Don´t Really Care About Us

Once upon a time an American singer called Michael Jackson, more a freak than an artist indeed, came to Brazil for filming a video clip. His song talked about police brutality and people´s poverty...
Many years after that,a big hurrycane called Katrina made a real mess in New Orleans,USA,showing to the world all the American poverty that was laying down in the hidden American "favelas".Yes,they have favelas too...Who could imagine that ? - The most rich nation in this planet has got its own parcel of poverty!
I wonder why Mr. Jackson didn´t show us this poverty on your video clip. Why are the American people so worried in hidding their social problems and so worried in showing off other people´s misery ??
Katrina brought to the light the most confidential American secret, the one they wanted to keep away from world´s eyes.
While that they dared to sing "they don´t care about us" but,the truth is,they don´t even care about themselves.
I know and everybody does the same truth: Brazil is not a paradise, there are a lot of problems here, but we cannot be pointed by other nations as "the land of the forgotten people".Contrary of what American think,we care about ourselves. We give free education in universities for those who can´t pay.We give healthcare, free transportation for students, old people, policeofficers and so on...The government helps.
I hope to see
the truth on Mr. Jackson´s new clip.I hope he talk about those black people left for behind while Katrina was fucking the city.I hope he talk about the taxes, the prices, the racial tension and about the American dream...that dream wich will never come true to the most people who was born in the home of the braves...
